Prop 2 / State Funding Support

State funding strategy, tied to your plan

K12CG works as an owner-side advisor to help districts prepare, organize and submit state facilities funding materials. We align that work with the districtwide facilities plan, so every application supports projects the board has already prioritized.

Modern California school building supported by state facilities funding

State funding rewards districts that are ready

Proposition 2 (2024) renewed state support for school facilities and changed how the School Facility Program works, including new Five-Year Master Plan expectations. The process involves many steps, documents and deadlines.

Districts that know their eligibility, have their documentation in order and can show how projects fit a districtwide plan are better positioned. Districts that start late often leave options on the table.

K12CG helps districts get organized early and stay organized. We do not promise funding outcomes. Eligibility and program rules are set by the state, and districts should confirm current requirements with OPSC.
