The K12CG Cost-Savings Commitment
Our goal is not to become another project cost. Our job is to help reduce it.
We believe effective owner-side management should pay for itself. Every engagement is focused on protecting district resources, eliminating unnecessary cost and finding more efficient paths to delivery.
Where the value comes from
| Value area | How we protect district dollars |
|---|---|
| Scope optimization | Right-size scope to documented need before design locks it in. |
| Procurement strategy | Package and time bids to attract competition and fair pricing. |
| Constructability review | Catch conflicts and gaps in drawings before they become field problems. |
| Change-order prevention | Clear documents, disciplined review and fair, documented negotiation. |
| Schedule management | Protect summer windows and avoid the cost of delay and escalation. |
| Specification review | Durable, maintainable systems without proprietary or over-specified premiums. |
| Budget controls | Transparent tracking of commitments, contingency and forecasts. |
| Funding alignment | Coordinate local, state and other sources to capture eligible dollars. |
How it works
- 01For qualifying engagements, K12CG and the district agree on a savings baseline and how savings, cost avoidance and efficiencies will be documented.
- 02Progress is reported to the district throughout the engagement, so the value is visible, not assumed.
- 03Where the commitment includes fee relief, it applies only subject to the written terms of the engagement.
